A Practice of Presence and Intention
our ethos
Before photography became her full-time pursuit, Annie’s path was rooted in the sciences. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, where she also served as a professor’s assistant teaching college-level chemistry. With an early trajectory toward medicine, Annie developed an enduring appreciation for precision, observation, and the study of living systems.
That foundation still shapes her work today. Photography, for Annie, is both study and art—an attentive practice guided by composition, detail, and human connection. Her specialization in color is not simply stylistic, but a way of preserving the emotional atmosphere of a day as faithfully as possible. From quiet glances to full, exuberant celebrations, she documents weddings as living compositions—created with care, carried by color, and made to be kept for years to come.
When not behind the lens, Annie’s world is shaped by the people and places she loves most. Having lived in South Korea, Japan, Colorado, Virginia, and Ohio, she’s always been drawn to exploring—especially when it means traveling with family. She met her husband, Noah, at the University of Virginia in 2017, and the two were married in 2024. At home, life is made sweeter by Annie's beloved shih-tzu, Daisy, and—more often than not—a cup of coffee in hand.

Not only is she the most kind-hearted, present, calm and most amazing energy to be around, she is so talented. In every picture Annie took, I have been able to feel all the emotion that we felt on our wedding day. She is present throughout the whole day and finds the most joyful candids which have been so much fun to look back on. All of her pictures will make you tear up because of her ability to accurately portray your day. They also are SO beautiful! She comes prepared and makes sure to get the best lighting and pictures without having to spend all of your time taking pictures. Her professionalism is unmatched! She knew all of my family members names and made sure everyone felt comfortable and relaxed. She also works in a timely manner and will have a full album of sneak peeks a few days after the wedding. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day and I full heartedly can say you will not regret choosing Annie!
